The Four Cradles of Civilization

THE CHALLENGE

There are many subjects that I am passionate about, but nothing beats my obsession with history—especially learning about ancient civilizations! Many people suffer through perpetual boredom while reading about history and so, to tackle this I created a fun and interactive way to encourage active learning through the use of dials.

THE DESIGN

Simplicity was the goal.  I used earthy colors to set the “mood” of the subject. I also used static and animated visuals that corresponded to each topic to create meaningful learning.  Using visuals definitely helped break the monotony of text that was featured for each subject.
